Hi friends,
Here’s a quick tip I’ve found super helpful when Mentoring Chevening Applicants - every morning try to ask yourself and answer, for example:
What’s my education or Career Plan about?
Brainstorm,
Plan,
Connect with other parts of your life,
Respond to it with examples.
Finally, give your response in the fewest feasible words possible.
You can use this technique to write and polish your essays and get ready for interviews.
- Next Mornings, ASK the second, third, fourth and etc. questions and give them some thoughts during the day:
What are my future plan? What subjects do I study and why? What is my vision? Describe your story?! etc.
Ask and answer only one question everyday to be prepared for the interview.
There will be no more than 20 questions in the Chevening Interview. Normally, 30% of the questions; lets say 6 questions are simple and don't require prior knowledge/preparation. Now you are left with 14 questions. If you have 15 days to prepare for the interview. You will be ready without specifying a time commitment. This gives you clarity and you will be able to gather many examples, be precise and able to respond to all questions confidently.
Every now and then, do Mock interviews with others and ME. You will shine like a bright STAR.
If you do the same trick to write your essays, it works even better. You can think about it and then write your best points every night. By the end of the 15 day period. You will have a winning Essay.
Good Luck!
P.S. I acknowledge that many of you sent me your emails, messages and your essays which some I have responded and some not. I promise that I respond to all messages and emails but please bear in mind that I am bombarded with emails and messages and it takes time to respond.
With Love & Respect!
